“Amma Vodi” is a social welfare scheme implemented by the government of Andhra Pradesh in India. The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 per year to mothers or guardians of children studying in classes 1 to 12 in government schools or government-aided schools. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to families from economically weaker sections to ensure that their children are not forced to drop out of school due to financial constraints.
